In A Charge Of Valor I feel like this is a awful book because is seemed like book 5 and 6 were the same thing Thor embarking on his trip in the Empire.
In my opinion I really feel like book 5 and 6 should have been one book because they both felt really short and they would have made a lot more sense if they were together. Lastly I would say skip it but I believe you should never skip a book in a book series but because this boom was so bad you might have to.

So next thing we know Gwen somehow blacks out again and wakes up with Argon carrying her back to the castle, she is so sore and tired, cause being raped makes your body tired and sore. Uh huh. This is like the idiocy of the bad guys chasing and shooting a thousand bullets trying to kill him and then when they are inches away from each other they just talk until escapes, again.

Though the characters frequently think high-minded thoughts and almost as often encourage each other with such thoughts, the main purpose of the stories is to entertain, which they do pretty well. All the books so far could still use better editing though. I am amazed at the wealth of different stuff that can happen in the Ring and the surrounding lands.
This has been going on for six books now, and there are eleven more in the series. It looks for the moment as if the onrushing tide of tragedy that has engulfed the Ring may have finally hit its high point, but I am not going to hold my breath. After this, they intend to kill her as slowly and painfully as possible, but she calls on Argon, who convinces Andronicus to let her live and let her people just surrender to him. Gwen feels humiliated, like Thor will never love her again, and she resolves to leave with Steffen the hunchback and heads out for a place called the Tower of Refuge.
Meanwhile, Thor continues his search for the Destiny Sword, and after many more hardships and losing one of his trusted companions, he finally finds it. Jun 20, Sharon Phelps rated it it was amazing. What do I say about a series that with each book just draws me in more and more. I couldn't put this one down and just had to see what happened next. Of course, I had known from book one that Thor would wield the destiny sword but it was still a cheering moment.
And all of the action as the story is developed is right up there with all of the other books if not better. All of our heroes are at their best and the villains remain villains. This installment swings from Thor's trials to find the sword and Gwen's within the red city, with a little of Erec thrown in. There are many battles and imaginative areas stuffed with incredible creatures and a villain that is a formidable foe.
This story is entertaining, if unrealistic on all fronts, and yet it engages and is an enjoyable fantasy. Recommended, but it needs a good editor. Well the editing of the first half of this book was O.
This is getting so monotonous it's not funny. I really don't know what that means in a series as lacking in continuity like this. If Book 7 doesn't improve on these mistakes I'm afraid that'll be all for me! Feb 07, Becky Conley rated it it was amazing.
I am so happy with this book! It was everything and more. And it was the "drama" I've been searching for since book 3. There was so many great things that happen in the adventure during this book, but the last page Not what I expected at all! I thought I had it figured out and Rice threw me through a loop. I'm ready to start the next one.

Another great adventure Unlike book 5, which ended on a cliffhanger, not knowing whether characters would prevail or which would die, this book, which terminates with surprises, still leaves you with hope. Good story, seems a bit "bursty" for me the story is slow and steady and then speeds up towards the end.

I have read books and this one surpasses all of my expectations. I felt like all of the other books were just preparing the reader for the spectacular twists in this book. I rated this 5 stars but I wish I could have given it more.
